In conclusion, droughts are a natural disaster that effect people, both directly and indirectly. If the farmers go out of business, then the country as a whole stops moving. It was stated about the Dust Bowl of the 1930's "America as a whole, not just the Great Plains, was out of balance with the environment." Many technological advances and programs have been put into place to monitor the situation but that doesn't make it impossible to happen.
