Promotion Strategy
Currently, the company's main promotion strategy is to emphasis on personal selling. In order to field new customers, the sales team makes sales calls and send out postcards regularly. After salespeople identify a potential customer, the salesperson will bring a promotional box to the customer as a demonstration of their printing abilities and to act as an incentive to try CSP's services. This style of personal selling has been very successful for CSP and is an efficient way to gain new customers.
Due to financial constraints, CSP has limited funds to dedicate to advertising and promoting the company. However, there are several inexpensive ways to promote the company. The following is a list of ways to best utilized the company's funds for promotion:
1. CSP should put the company's logo and phone number on the deliver trucks. Since the truck will pick-up jobs and deliver products in neighborhoods, business complexes, and shopping malls, the company's logo will be a moving billboard to attract people's attention.
2. CSP delivery drivers should be trained to act in a professional, friendly manner when they encounter customer. Because the delivery driver may be the only person who visits the customers frequently, the driver plays an important role as the representative of the company.
3. To increase company awareness, CSP should place an ad in the Yellow page. The Yellow pages is an inexpensive way to advertising and promote the company.
