Extract

The CETA is not only about the trade, it is also as much about sculpturing much better relationship not only between Canada and EU but also between Canada and Latvia. As François-Philippe Champagne said “We always have had a great relationship with Latvia, and we would like to continue in the same way”, meaning that this agreement will bring closer bond also politically, economically and Canada has also agreed to ensure the safety of Latvian borders.
At this point, CETA is now a reality, and we should have to start thinking about how to use the possibilities it provides. In my opinion, the debates were too positive, not mentioning a single minus of this agreement. It would be naive to believe, that the agreement is perfect, but let’s see what will happen next.
