This essay is a report on what really happened when the Allies invaded Nomandy, France on the 6th of June 1944. It just says how the Allies progressed up to a certain point and some of the events that happened.
The Battle of Normandy
The 6th of June 2002, marked the 58th anniversary of the Normandy invasion into Nazi Germany by the Allies. This battle is also known as D-Day, and commenced on the 6th June 1944. This war operation, code-named Overlord, was one of the largest invasion forces in modern history.
