The approach Gandhi would have told him to take would be to enter high school with a positive attitude. He must make the best out of his situation and his new environment. His positive energy, enthusiasm and determination will lead him to excel in his studies. This then will help him apply to good colleges which will determine his destiny as of the moment. By identifying his motivation, values, virtues, qualities and talents he is able to succeed in a place he did not think he could. Ultimately, his initial positive thoughts result in his positive values, leading to a successful destiny.
Like Gandhi, I believe that we "can" determine our destiny. Furthermore, we "have to" determine our destiny. It is up to each of us to take our lives into our own hands and make the best out of every situation that we are faced with. The choices we make will then determine our destiny.…
