The environment that nowadays is common in mental hospitals and other healthcare institution does not include successful public space for social interaction indoors as well as outdoors. That includes nature as an underestimated treatment tool, which has been scientifically proved to highly increase mental health conditions. Also, the distance and accessibility often is an obstacle for people to include the therapeutic activities into their daily routine, that is why these Bachelor theses analyse the main aspects for situating mental wellbeing facilities in an urban setting. Basic strategies are pointed out that can be implemented in a new healthcare model including spatial qualities that provide mental well-being improvement. The communication and recreation is important for accelerating heling process and serves as a therapy not only for patients with mental issues, but also for the rest of society that want to improve their performance and health conditions. Community-based setting is the key approach towards a healthy mind.
The thesis consists of fifty pages including annotation in two languages, table of contents, bibliography on five pages and three separate appendices organized in the list of figures.
