The United States of America is the second largest of the English speaking countries. It occupies a great part of North America. The country consists of fifty states. Alaska is the largest state in area. The U.S.A. was independent of Great Britain in 1783. The national motto of the United States is ‘’In God We Trust’’. The bald eagle has been the national bird of the United States since 1782. The territory of the country is more than 9 million square kilometers. Its population is about 260 million. More than 20 million of them are Afro-Americans and only about half a million are Indians, the natives of the continent.…
