Daudzese pagasts is on the left blank of the Daugava River, 100 kilometers from Riga. It borders on Serene, Sece, Zalve and Mazzalve pagasts and Viesite rural area. The earliest written records dealing with this community tell that this was a populated place Daudzeva ; about 600 years ago Daudzeva was located on the bank of the Daugava, which in those days run along what now is Laucese river bed.
