The book has been compared to other books such as the Indonesian Pancasila, in that it fueled a pseudo-religious nationalism, and most books by absolute rulers, such a Gaddafi's Red Book, or Hitler's Mein Komph had this uplifting national spirit that they draw in the reader, but Ruhnama was in fact much much different. It taught peace, forgiveness, and neutrality – wich led to Turkmenistan's eventual Neutral status within UN. It did not promote anger towards other nations non irredentism, as one might expect, but love and happiness, perhaps the cornestoneof what he thought should be of true importance to socialists.…
