The Sound of Music. The Leading Lady

The Sound of Music ( 1965 ) was an exceptionally successful film in the mid – 1960s – at the time of its release.
The story follows a good natured, flighty novitiate who is hired to care for seven children of a militaristic, icy, widowed Austrian captain. She ultimately wins the heart of the children and captain, but their lives are threatened by the encroachment of Nazis.
