Contrary to popular belief, it DOES NOT rain every day in England or in the rest of the UK!
Britain is an island country and the surrounding sea gives England a varied climate. We never know what the weather will be like from one day to the other. It can be sunny one day and rainy the next,and it is difficult to predict the weather.
Temperatures not much lower than 0ºC in winter and not much higher than 32ºC in summer.
Rain and wind
In the UK the most common winds are from the west or south-west. These winds arrive in Britain after crossing the Atlantic Ocean, from which they pick up moisture. Some of the wettest parts of the UK is south-west Ireland, Wales, the Lake District (in north-west England) and the western islands of Scotland.…
