Monument of freedom is the most famous monument in Latvia, it represents our fight for freedom, it is designed by Karlis Zale in 1935 and is our national symbol.
There is another part of city witch you can only experiance during the night. There is a saying about Riga similar to New york- it is a city that never sleeps. Night life in Riga usually starts from around at 23.00 and lasts till the fist sunbeam. It is one of the reasons why so many tourists choose to go to Riga.
