The United States is one of a few countries that separate female prisoners from their children, and the amount of the female prisoners has been increasing. That has been becoming one of the most serious problems about our society. Now there is a controversy concerning the way we should respond to that problem. Some people think that we should not build these child care facilities because they believe it just wastes our tax money. But others think that we should build these facilities for both female prisoners and their children.
