Grace Maclean is 13 years old girl who loves to ride a horse. Her inseparable friend is a horse – Piligrim.
Teenager Grace MacLean and her best friend Judith go out early one winter's morning to ride their horses, Pilgrim and Gulliver. As they ride up an icy slope, Gulliver slips and hits Pilgrim. Both horses fall, dragging the girls onto a snowy country road where exact time a forty-ton truck hurtles out of control. In a few terrible seconds the life of a family is shattered.
