The talented Mr. William Golding envisioned us with the rise and fall of a society in his novel, The Lord of the Flies. The book tells the story of a group of boys that struggle to survive on their own. The struggles of the Roman Catholic Church during the Reformation is comparable to the boy*s. As people find physical aspects of life more appealing than having morality, the society becomes fragmented, because people are naturally more attracted to instant gratification for themselves then to working hard. In The Lord of the Flies, the separation of the group was sudden.
