They had a chance to be equal with the white males of the world and chance to give themselves a name in are working society.
To sum up my paper I believe it might not have been such a bad step to get all the minorities/women into the swing of things. But I do not think that you should not take the better person for the job. The best man for the job should get the job regardless of race/sex. The key now is you are never going to know if they are taking the best people for the jobs and that is just part of the world it is never going to be fair or justified at least in are life time.
At this point in our nation's history, does affirmative action make things better or worse? The debate rages on.
