Conclusion
Cross-cultural families reveal the kinds of problems and possibilities that are created when people bring their own different pasts in shaping a new future. "As the cultural mosaic of the larger social world grows increasingly diverse and complex, we all need to find better ways of dealing with our differences" (Mixed Matches, 1995, Pg.302). Learning about the struggles and triumphs of interracial families can help all of us learn to cope with one another, regardless of our differences. What will bring of interracial families as we continue into the 21st century? Hopefully in the near future, we all would have realized that the similarities between us humans are far greater than the differences of race, religion, and cultural difference that divide us.
