Real Estate Tax
Currently the real estate taxation system includes 2 taxes: land tax and tax on immovable property. The tax base is a cadastral value. You can see tax rates.

And in our contry we have reliefs for real estate taxation like for politically repressed persons . Maybe you know that In the Baltic countries repressions and the mass deportations were carried out by the Soviets. And there are relifs for poor persons , for low income persons, for families which have 3 and more children.

One of indirect taxes in Latvia is Value Added Tax. It shall be paid by legal entities and natural persons. Standard tax rate is 21%, reduced tax rate – 12% (twelve) like for medicine.

Excise Duty
Shall be applied to oil products, natural gas, alcoholic drinks, beer, tobacco products, coffee and non-alcoholic drinks (except natural juices and mineral water).
