In conclusion, the beginnings of novels are very important in getting the point across to the reader. Yet the beginning not just does this but it also attracts the reader due to aspects that the reader adds, such as the word gloomy in the novel Northern Lights. These beginnings can also concentrate on one aspect, such as character construction. If the writer were to only concentrate on the character construction, the reader would then get information on how the character acts and dresses, where as if the writer were to do the setting the writer would concentrate on how, for example the character passes through the "gloomy" halls.…
