Personal data processing rules
  1. Explanation of terms

    1. Terms - these terms and conditions of personal data processing, the content of which and the terms and conditions contained therein are agreed by the Customer, in relation to all activities performed by the Customer in the eLibrary and in direct or indirect connection with the eLibrary.

    2. eLibrary - a website called “eKönyvtár” and with the Internet address www.ekonyvtar.eu, where study materials created by various authors are published and available for download.

    3. Customer - a person who uses one of the eLibrary Services.

    4. Company - a company named "CDI" Ltd., which is registered in the Republic of Latvia with registration number 40003589548 and is the founder and owner of the eLibrary.



  1. Communication with the Company and the data controller

    1. In order to ensure the operation of the portal and the provision of full-fledged services, the Company, as a data controller, processes personal data in accordance with the requirements of regulatory enactments. To contact the Company about the processing of personal data, please write to info@ekonyvtar.eu or contact us using the contact information in the contact section of the eLibrary.

    2. The processing of personal data in the eLibrary on behalf of the Company is controlled and supervised by a certified personal data processing specialist, who you can contact by writing to the e-mail address: personaldata@ekonyvtar.eu.



  1. The Company shall process the following personal data:

    1. retention of purchase data for the performance of the purchase contract and possible subsequent identification of the buyer and the content of the purchase, if the need arises. The e-mail address specified in the purchase is stored for three years from the moment of making the purchase and is then deleted from the active database of the eLibrary. Purchase data is processed in accordance with the requirements of regulatory enactments, accounting and record keeping regulations.

    2. processing of personal data of registered authors in order to identify authors, calculate and pay royalties to them for the entire term of the royalty agreement entered into, as well as store and process the Author's data thereafter in accordance with the requirements of regulatory enactments regarding accounting and record keeping.

    3. processing of personal data of persons who have signed up to receive information on new materials placed in the eLibrary. The eLibrary regularly sends information on new works to these persons to the specified e-mail address in accordance with the choice made by these persons, which determines both the topics of interest and the frequency of receiving information. Any person may opt out of this information at any time. In this case, the news is no longer sent and the person's e-mail address is deleted from the eLibrary newsletter database.

    4. processing of personal data of participants in various competitions, promotions and lotteries in accordance with the principles and regulations for the implementation of specific promotions.

    5. storage and processing of cookies in accordance with the eLibrary Cookies Terms of Use.

    6. processing of personal data in e-mail correspondence sent by customers and users to the eLibrary in order to ensure full-fledged responses in consecutive correspondence, if any. Personal data are deleted from this database five years after the last letter of correspondence.



  1. The Company shall not transfer personal data for processing to other persons, except to law enforcement authorities in accordance with the procedures prescribed by law and for the processing of cookies in accordance with the eLibrary Cookies Use Regulations.

    1. any person has the right to request the Company to access and correct or delete their personal data or to restrict the processing, as well as the right to object to the processing of their personal data, as well as the right to the portability of their personal data.

    2. every person has the right to submit a complaint to the personal data processing supervisory authority provided by the Data State Inspectorate in the Republic of Latvia.

    3. The provision of personal data to the eLibrary is determined in accordance with the provisions of the eLibrary Use Agreement, the purchase agreement, the license agreement or based on the person's wish to receive any services or opportunities offered by the eBibrary. In case a person does not want to provide his / her personal data, a situation may arise in which the eLibrary cannot provide the service or fulfill the person's wishes.



  1. Final provisions

    1. All disputes in connection with these Terms shall be resolved by the Parties through negotiations, but if they do not reach a solution, the Customer may apply to the Company in the court of the Republic of Latvia according to the Company's place of registration and the claim may be considered under Latvian law. The Company has the right to turn against the Client in any territory and organize its claim in accordance with any legal norms that, in the opinion of the Company, are appropriate for application.

    2. The Company reserves the right to change the Terms at any time without prior notice. The current version of the Regulations is published on the website www.ekonyvtar.eu.
