Summary of the book „ Travel Geography” written by Rosemary Burton I chose this book because I am really interested in geography and I thought it would be interesting to get know better what tourists like, what kind of historical, climatic, costal, resources they prefer and what exactly attract them to each place. More specific I will tell you about costal resources and the sea. Second thing that I had read, was about theories of tourism development and motivations that tourists have when they makes a choice of trip. There are a lot of different types of people and this book made me understand what kind of destinations each type prefer. Almost all tourists first and foremost are looking for a clean, sandy beach that is comfortable for sunbathing and safe for swimming, with gentle waves that allows children to play at the water. Very important is that beach isn’t too far from the tourists accommodation, a long walk of a climbing up and down a cliff can be tiring.
