That what we call “alternative energy” is in fact the oldest kind of energy used by mankind. We use wind energy for more than 1300 years in windmills, water energy was used in Ancient Rome in water mills, and biomass was known even in Palaeolithic ages. However, nowadays oil and coal is main source of energy. But they are fossil resources and we already are running low with them. So humans are forced to return to inexhaustible resources, to alternative energy. But what kind of alternative enrgy is the best for us? Although alternative energy is usually considered as one way to produce electricity, it has different advantages depending on the type of power plant used, for example water, wind and wave power plants.…
